An open door to an amazing area: our campsite is located here, in the Cinque Terre National Park, immersed in a natural landscape that is able to thrill. The Cinque Terre are, in fact, UNESCO protected and the whole area has gained National Park status.
Levanto is positioned in one of the most fascinating regions of Italy, characterized by extraordinary panoramic and environmental beauty, and borders the Cinque Terre, the five renowned villages overlooking the eastern Ligurian Sea: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.

The region
The Cinque Terre National Park
You can easily reach the Cinque Terre on foot by following the trails that stretch along the coast or upcountry. If you prefer, you can also opt for the train. Stations offer tickets with different fares, depending on your destination. Ticket offices are open from 6:10 am to 7:30 pm.
To enjoy Cinque Terre to the fullest, we recommend purchasing the Cinque Terre Card, which includes train and bus services. In addition, you can buy tickets for the spectacular boat trips that leave from Levanto twice a day allowing you to return in the evening.

The Villages of Painted Doors
Don't miss the charming Villages of Painted Doors: Dosso, Groppo, Lavaggiorosso and Montale.
In 2002, an art project created by artist Silvio Benedetto involved painting the villages' wooden doors with the intent of depicting local traditional scenes, emphasizing the beauty of this valley. You can reach tthem by bus or by foot through the many trails recently restored by the volunteers of the Levanto CAI association.

The bike lane from Levanto to Framura
If you love outdoor activities, we suggest you to go for a ride on the beautiful bike lane from Levanto to Framura. Since July 2011, the tunnels of the old railway have been converted into a bicycle and pedestrian route, perfect for a pleasant walk. Along the way, the tunnels open onto small coves, giving you a great place to relax away from the crowds of the main beaches. The tunnels are lit, so you can enjoy a pleasant walk even in the evening hours.
Portovenere
Portovenere, the smallest municipality in the province of La Spezia, is a real jewel. In 1998, along with the islands of Palmaria, Tino, Tinetto and the Cinque Terre, it was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can reach this charming village by boat from Levanto or by train to La Spezia, where you can take a direct bus to the village.
Camogli San Fruttuoso and the promontory of Portofino
Camogli, with its unique charm, is also known as the "City of a Thousand White Sailboats" or the "Pearl of the Paradise Gulf". It is easily accessible by train, taking the Genoa line. Portofino, on the other hand, is accessible from Levanto by boat or from Santa Margherita Ligure by bus. And what about San Fruttuoso? An incredible place with its abbey nestled in the bay.

If you're into mountain biking, Levanto and the Cinque Terre offer trails suitable for every difficulty level.
Just a few meters from the campsite entrance, you will find a dedicated store that organizes mountain bike tours. Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to explore the trails in the area. Levanto and the Cinque Terre are ideal places for avid cyclists, particularly because of the recent improvement made on some of the trails.

Water sports and boat trips
Levanto is a must-visit destination for surfers. Its bay creates the perfect waves and offers the perfect spots for surfers. There are surf schools and water equipment rental stores just a few meters from the campsite. Lastly, you can also explore the Cinque Terre by boat: the point of departure is only a 5-minute walk from the campsite! This will allow you to appreciate the beauty of the sea and coastline from a different perspective.
